Molecular Biology Sales Specialist
Labena dooel Skopje is a well-known company with 30 years of experience in Sales of technological solutions for laboratory (research and diagnostics) and analytical equipment. Our main activities are in the field of Life Science, In vitro diagnostics, Analytical chemistry and Food Safety and Quality testing, where we cooperate with the world's most reliable manufacturers. Labena also has its own molecular biology and analytical laboratory in Ljubljana Skopje where we perform scientific research and offer laboratory analysis to the customers as a service. Our goal is to remain successful and well-known company in the field of laboratory solutions and delivering of high-tech analytical and medical equipment as well as consumables for our customers. We have local offices in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro. 
Job Description: 
  • Sales specialist with background knowledge of Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology and Biochemistry- Proteomics
  • Location: Skopje and North Macedonia
  • Working hours: 40 hours/week (Monday- Friday)
  • Field work: minimum 60% (meeting with the customers/customers’ visits), 40% office work- 
  • preparing Quotations and Public Procurements’ (tender) documentation and all the other necessary documents for product placement (text for marketing brochures, newsletters, documents for product registration etc.).
Eligible candidates::
  • University Graduate (VII) – MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biomedicine
  • basic knowledge of laboratory techniques in Molecular Biology (PCR, electrophoresis), Genetics (FISH), Cell Biology (cell separation, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry) and Biochemistry- Proteomics (Western Blotting, Chromatography) (basic knowledge test will be performed- it is required that candidate has theoretical knowledge of these methods and scores more than 65% on the test, practical knowledge is benefit)
  • Active knowledge of English
  • Active driver with valid driving license B category (for the 60% of worktime and customers visits driving is needed)
  • PC literate- computer skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and Outlook
Work experience: 
  • At least 1 years of experience in  Sales 
  • (Not necessary sales in the field of molecular biology but experience in provoking customer interest for the products, pointing out the benefits of the products in comparison to the competitors and successful leading of the customer from the moment of the expression of the interest to the final purchase of the product)
Personal characteristics:
  • Proactive and with strong initiative
  • Communicative /talkative person - easily starting and leading communication (not having a problem to initiate the conversation with unknown people or to speak in public)
  • Focused, hardworking and precise in filling the necessary documentation for tenders and direct Quotations
  • Positive attitude toward work, company and colleagues
  • Ability to self-organize and initiate new leads (approach new customers)
  • Ability to work in team and collaborate with colleagues
  • loyal to the company, supervisor and owners
  • Independent, effective, timely and successful completion of tasks on the professional application field
Business tasks:
  • Leading the Sales process from the very beginning –by provoking the customer interest for the product till the final purchase and full payment of the product by the customer
  • Field work minimum 60% (business visits for product promotions and customer support – detecting problems with equipment of laboratory protocols customers use, and coordinating problem solving together with Labena’s Application Specialist or Service Team)
  • Rest of worktime (40%) is office- work on preparing Quotations, tender (public procurement) documentation, sales reports, product registration, marketing brochures and newsletters, sending kind reminders for overdue invoices to the customers etc.
  • Planning and reporting on weekly basis
  • Cooperation with superiors and colleagues 
  • Constant learning via scientific/technology webinars organized by company’s partners (manufacturers of the equipment)
  • Company Labena is proud distributor of following manufacturers: Bio-Rad (Life Science Genomics and Food Safety Division), Eppendorf, Cytocell, Oxford Gene technologies, Olympus, Elab Science, Elga and Foss. The candidate position requires the basic scientific knowledge to understand where the products of above mentioned manufacturers are applicable.
