WIK is looking for the following position:

ASSISTANT BUYER

Responsibilities

  • Support for the strategic buyers of direct and indirect material in looking after the responsible product areas and in monitoring the market.
  • Support and preparation of price and condition negotiations.
  • Joint planning with the strategic buyers and the purchasing management of statistics, presentation and sourcing, implementation of local operational tasks and assistance in global projects.
  • Analysis and preparation of the daily different sourcing analyses of the categories.
  • Responsible for the detailed processing and maintenance of article master data and prices.
  • Participation in the continuous operational improvement within the area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for data accuracy for purchased items in accordance with global standards and strategies.
  • Preparation and follow-up of supplier discussions, meeting minutes and visit reports.
  • Interface for the area of material management for all product and supplier-related topics.
  • Regular price maintenance and update of the approval process.
  • Ensure good communication in all relevant areas, connect production with administration.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed commercial training and relevant professional experience, e.g., as a purchasing clerk (m / f / d).
  • Experience in preparing and supporting supplier discussions and negotiations.
  • Confident handling of ERP systems as well as knowledge of article master data maintenance and a release matrix.
  • First experiences with evaluations and preparation of statistics, analyses, benchmarks, and presentations.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent and clear English skills.
  • Very good communication and organizational skills, a friendly and confident character, and a pro-active approach.
