IT – Client Support Engineer 

Responsibilities: 

  • Providing technical supporting multiple end user groups;
  • Keeps abreast of technological developments and uses that information to proactively initiate enhancements to mitigate against future problems (sharing information with Yageo group);
  • Keeps KEMET’s standards in HW, SW and solutions;
  • Responsible for the support, ongoing maintenance, administration & troubleshooting of KEMET’s desktop & laptop client infrastructure environment;
  • Test, maintain and standardize desktop & laptop OS & software environment, deploying automated OS & software images. Maintain procedures that automate tasks within the infrastructure;
  • Support and maintain KEMET production plant;
  • Work with a global client support team and support users in a local corporate environment and remotely from all Yageo locations around the world;
  • Assist with resolving 2nd & 3rd level client problem tickets. Support of remote users;
  • ​Maintain existing and publish new documentation for the implementation and support of client technologies deployed

 

Required knowledge and skills​: 

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related or extensive industry experience considered;
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows XP-W11 installation, troubleshooting and configuration. Ideally will have experience with Apple Mac OS X in a support capacity;
  • Solid experience with using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office package;
  • Extensive experience with desktop and laptop hardware
  • Knowledge of networking, network topologies, and back-end infrastructure;
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMS, TCP/IP, NAT and antivirus software;
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work independently or as a team;
  • Ability to interact with senior management;
  • Technical skills and competences will be your plus: Oracle, Lotus, ETBF, Quoting Assistant, MES, Newton HR software, Writing procedures, Knowledge transfer, Commercial awareness;
  • Personal skills and competences: accurate, flexible, honest, independent, organized, responsible, written and verbal communication, time management (organization);
