On behalf of our client, part of an international company from the production industry, we are looking for a strategic leader with strong negotiation skills and experience in leading a team.
Head of Purchasing
Your responsibilities:
- Value stream mapping and cost analysis, including initiating cost optimization projects
- Conducting "make-or-buy" analyses and benchmarking
- Negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers for goods, tools, and services
- Managing stock levels and optimizing freight and packaging costs
- Supplier selection, auditing, and evaluation
- Continuous improvement of purchasing strategies and processes
- Setting and monitoring operational goals to ensure cost-effective and quality procurement
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the purchasing team
- Identifying savings and optimization opportunities and implementing improvement initiatives
- Collaboration with other company locations on procurement strategies
Your profile:
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- German language skills are an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience with purchasing in production industry
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience in supply chain management and supplier relations
- Knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and customs procedures
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- SAP knowledge is a plus
Additional Information:
- Working hours: 07:30 – 15:30
- Location: Tetovo (organized travel from Skopje, Tetovo, and Gostivar)
- Training: One-month training in Germany
