Employment Services International (ESI), for the needs of our partner, seeking a talented Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing transportation schedules, routes, and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations, located in North Macedonia.
Job position: Operations Manager
Seniority level: Junior-Mid
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the movement of goods or passengers, including scheduling deliveries, arranging pickups, and optimizing transportation routes.
Compliance with regulations:
- Ensuring that all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards, licensing requirements, and environmental regulations.
Problem-solving:
- Resolving any issues or challenges that arise during transportation operations, such as delays, accidents, or equipment malfunctions.
Cost management:
- Monitoring transportation expenses and identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service quality or safety.
Customer service:
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients, addressing customer inquiries or complaints, and striving to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Reporting and analysis:
- Analyzing transportation data, such as delivery times, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance costs, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous improvement:
- Implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall transportation performance.
Collaboration:
- Working closely with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization.
Requirements:
- 2 years of proven experience in Freight Forwarding Industry
- Knowledge of customs clearance formalities/transit cargo shipments/operation of freight forwarding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Macedonian and English are required.
- Solution-oriented approach to problems.
