Accounting Specialist

ProCredit Bank Germany is a part of the ProCredit group of banks, which operate in eleven countries in South Eastern and Eastern Europe as the “Hausbank” for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and for private clients. In Germany, we target medium-sized companies that have business relationships with these markets. We work closely with the local ProCredit banks to facilitate the provision of longer-term loans for sustainable entrepreneurial investments in South Eastern and Eastern Europe. As the correspondent bank for the group, we also manage group treasury, international payments and trade finance. With our work, we seek to make an active contribution to ecologically and socially sustainable economic development in the region.

In order to strengthen our capacities in Financial Risk Management, ProCredit Bank Germany is seeking to hire a dedicated, responsible and qualified applicant for the following position based in Skopje:

Accounting Specialist

Your responsibilities:

• Preparation of regulatory and statistical reports to “Deutsche Bundesbank” as well as to our parent company within the scope of group-wide reporting
• Analysis and practical implementation of new supervisory regulations
• Participation in the introduction of new products as well as the optimization of processes and our IT systems from a reporting perspective
• Verification and registration of all incoming invoices for procurement process and control of status of approvals
• Accounting for travel expenses and reimbursements to employees
• Fixed assets accounting
• Bookings of administrative expenses and of VAT in the local accounting system
• Bookings and reconciliation of deferred expenses
• Invoicing for cost transfers between Group companies
• Preparation of tax reports
• Performing reconciliations of accounts in the subledger and between subledgers and general ledger
• Performing monthly IC-reconciliation with ProCredit Group companies
• Collaborating closely with Accounting and Reporting teams in ProCredit Bank Germany, in the Banks from the Group, with ProCredit Holding and the internal IT company on accounting-related matters

Your profile:

• Successfully completed Faculty of economics with main field accounting studies
• Minimum 3 years work experience in accounting area, preferable in a bank
• Precise and accurate working style with being able to work under time pressure and strict deadlines
• Certain IT- affinity, experience with working with accounting systems and good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel und Word
• Good English and German skills (writing/speaking)
• Interest to learn new requirements, processes and systems
• Good comprehension, very good communication skills, commitment and personal responsibility
