For our Mechatronics division in Shtip North Macedonia, we are looking for the following position:
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Manage and review general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Coordinate the annual audit process and ensure timely completion.
- Develop and maintain internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Monitor cash flow and manage cash balances to ensure adequate funding.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and local and international financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management as required.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Local chartered Accountant, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting or finance, preferably with certain period in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive industry preferred.
- Experience with local and IFRS requirements. Knowledge of US GAAP would be considered as an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software and ERP systems
